The focal point of a room with a fireplace, is the fireplace wall. 80-90% of people want the TV over the fireplace. Usually there is a large area above the fireplace that will fit a TV. When installing TV’s over fireplaces they tend to be too high. There are two types of fireplace installations gas fire place and wood burning. Gas fireplace is usually the easier of the two.
Wood fireplaces burn much hotter then gas, so heat is a very large factor in the installation. Most of the time fireplaces have brick or stone, which is another large obstacle for the TV installation.
